Responsibilities

  • Corporate Strategy 
  • Partner with the Chief Strategy Officer and key Indigo executives to facilitate Indigo’s corporate strategy process    
  • Develop a cohesive plan to monetize agricultural sustainability opportunities through science, technology, and new business models; continuously evaluate new opportunities as they emerge 
  • Develop solutions to help Indigo achieve synergies, cross-sell, and build longstanding competitive advantages across its products 
  • Monitor and evaluate market dynamics (e.g., competitive landscape); determine their implications for Indigo’s strategy 
  • Collaborate with our Sustainability Policy team to maintain a comprehensive understanding of Carbon markets, standards for emissions reporting and climate goals, and fold them into our strategy 
  • Business planning 
  • Collaborate with our Finance team to develop, maintain and critically analyze the financial forecast across Indigo’s products 
  • Draw from market analysis and customer discovery to establish and evolve the pricing strategy for Indigo’s products 
  • Identify, evaluate, prioritize, and potentially pilot new opportunities for business expansion (e.g., internationalization, M&A, new channels, etc.) 
  • Partnerships 
  • Collaborate with our Partnerships team to develop new partnerships for Indigo’s offerings; design new partnership models, develop pitch materials, analyze deal terms, and support negotiations 
  • Program Management 
  • Support key strategic decisions and processes associated with our current programs (e.g., designing grower payment policies for the Carbon by Indigo program)

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of work experience 
  • 2+ years strategy consulting, environmental consulting and/or business startup experience 
  • Carbon markets or sustainability experience a plus but not necessary 
  • Agriculture experience a plus but not necessary
