Account Manager – European Sales

Job Description:

  • Own end-to-end sales cycle for key prospects within the AgTech CEA industry for VF technology in the European marketspace
  • Nurture and develop the sales pipeline and successfully convert customers into enduring, win-win consultative relationships
  • Be accountable for achieving and exceeding sales goals and KPI measurements
  • Drive growth through establishing new partnerships, supporting wins, and driving the opportunity funnel
  • Develop winning industry-specific value proposition(s) along with colleagues for succeeding in the European market
  • Identify, prepare for, and represent IGS within industry relevant events and networks
  • Identify and engage industry partnerships for enhancing IGS’ value prop in the CEA market
  • Play an active role for IGS’ CEA sector strategy development and execution
  • Organize and host visits to the CRC (Crop Research Centre) in Invergowrie, Scotland
  • Ensure regular and accurate forecasting and reporting of the business on monthly basis in alignment with the Global Sales reporting
  • Ensure database hygiene for your prospects and customers within the IGS CRM

The Candidate:

  • The successful candidate will demonstrate strong sales skills and the ability to work within the team to convert prospects into satisfied customers against agreed revenue outcomes
  • You will need a talent for communication with the ability to be persuasive and rapidly link market sector requirements into capability and customer value
  • You will also be a quick study, learning to quickly gain the required knowledge and skills to become a value-added resource and trusted advisor to our prospects, customers and internal team
  • Working within a global team, you will have a proven ability to influence and build relationships across borders, organizations, and our partner community
  • We’re looking for someone who is collaborative both internally and externally, can be innovative in their approach to the role, demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail in a fast moving, pressured environment
  • You will have the ability to travel up to 50% within Europe
  • Location: Continental Europe with good travel access

Skills & Experience: 


  • Minimum 5 Years in senior sales account management and complex Solutions Sales
  • High work standards and an ability to exceed expectations
  • A positive, energetic, motivated, and tenacious work ethic with high standards
  • Strong intellect with solid business acumen and decision-making capability
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate persuasively and effectively in a variety of written and verbal formats, with a wide range of people, including clients and external organizations
  • Business development mentality, confident and mature with drive, energy, and can-do approach
  • Team player, able to work across the business to drive shared vision and results
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to run multiple initiatives in parallel
  • Clean Driving licence, passport and ability to travel throughout Europe and further afield as necessary
  • Comfortable with remote working and self-motivated


  • Experience with AgTech solutions in relevant sectors preferred
  • English language and ideally 1 or more continental languages
  • Degree level education or equivalent
